Kodály's "Dances of Galánta" by the Greek Radio Orchestra dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the IKS

The work of Zoltán Kodály’s "Dances of Galánta" (composed in 1933) was interpreted by the National Symphony Orchestra of the Greek Radio and Television under the direction of Nikos Athineos, at studio C of the Athens Radio, on Sunday, February 15 at 12:00.

This concert, and in particular the interpretation of the "Dances of Galanta", is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the founding of the International Kodály Society.

IKS President Michalis Patseas was an honorary invited guest at the concert.

In the first part, the orchestra interpreted
the "2nd Piano Concerto" by Ferenc Liszt (soloist: Stella Koukou)
and "Hungarian dances" Nr. 1 and Nr. 5 by Johannes Brahms.
