Scholarship Fund

Creation of a Scholarship Fund for the IKS

In its continuous efforts to propagate the musical, educational and cultural concepts associated with Zoltán Kodály, the Board of the IKS has taken the decision to create a ‘Scholarship Fund’. It is our intention not only to continue the tradition of granting a few scholarships yearly but also, we hope, to be able to grant many more every year in the future. We are delighted that Mrs. Sarolta Kodály has decided to provide the starting-up money for this project.

One of the “down-to-earth” problems of the IKS is the economic situation in the world in general and in Hungary in particular. More and more we must count on private support. It means that the success of a ‘Scholarship Fund’ will greatly depend on our ability to find the necessary resources.

Therefore, we call on all who have the possibility to help us to build up the Scholarship Fund to the benefit of many young musicians.

Any financial support given to this project will be a real investment in the well-being of future generations.

Since the Board of the International Kodály Society will be responsible for the daily handling of the Scholarship Fund, donations can be made to the IKS account:
