Ms. Lili Vandulek, retiring as Executive Secretary of the IKS

Lili Vandulek took up the position of Executive Secretary in 1995, succeeding Dr. László Eősze who himself had been the Executive Secretary since the foundation of the Society in 1975. Both our retired Executive Secretaries served for a long period of time a fact that created great stability in an organization with a 4-year mandate structure for the members of the Board who come from all over the world. However Lili was already employed by the IKS since 1992 when she became assistant to Dr. Eősze. Although Lili is officially retiring she will be re-employed by the Society on a project contract bases for things that can be done from any place in the world. (She is moving to Cairns in Australia to join her two sons living there.) F.i. the technical editing of the Bulletin and the website, future publications and similar things. To offer her this contract engagement after retirement was a proposal of the Board to keep at least some of her expertise. We wish her and her family all good luck and success in their new home and thank her once more for the excellent way in which she has accomplished her term as Executive Secretary.

Mrs. Boróka Bodacz-Nagy, new Executive Secretary of the IKS per April 1

A non-profit organization such as the IKS, working with a very low budget, is permanently in need of people who are able to combine many different skills. About one year ago we began the search for Lili Vandulek's successor. It was not an easy task but we were very fortunate to find Mrs. Boróka Bodacz-Nagy who has all the qualities we need. She graduated from the Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem Bölcsészettudományi Kar with a degree in Sociology after attending the Művészeti Szakközépiskola és Gimnázium in Szombathely, where among others she studied violin, viola and chamber music. Between 1994-2004 she also attended the Bartók Béla Zeneiskola in Szombathely, studying solfège, violin, saxophone and piano. As you can see, we could not have found better and hope to have a longstanding and fruitful collaboration between her and the IKS.
